Closing the Bones Ceremony

The Closing the Bones ceremony is a deeply nurturing and symbolic postpartum ritual designed to honor and support your healing after childbirth. Rooted in traditional practices, this ceremony helps "close" the physical and emotional space opened during pregnancy and birth, bringing balance, warmth, and a sense of grounding to your body and mind.

During the ceremony, you’ll be gently wrapped and unwrapped with a Rebozo, a traditional woven cloth, to provide a sense of containment and support. This process may include:

  • A soothing abdominal massage to relax and realign your body.

  • A guided meditation to reflect on your birth journey and welcome this new chapter of motherhood.

  • Rebozo wrapping around key areas of the body to promote healing, restore balance, and create a feeling of deep comfort and care.

This is a sacred moment for you to reconnect with your body, release emotional tension, and feel fully supported in your postpartum recovery. This intimate and meaningful ceremony will be performed by two doulas, ensuring you receive the care and attention you deserve. It can be shared in the presence of friends and family or kept as a private moment for yourself—whatever feels right for you. The Closing the Bones ceremony is not only about physical healing but also about honoring the incredible transformation you’ve undergone as a mother. Let’s create a space where you can truly feel nurtured and restored.
